The Challenge

Aging petroleum tank developed interior corrosion. Traditional epoxy systems require 7-10 day cure — incompatible with operational schedule. Chemical resistance critical: refined petroleum + wash chemicals exposure.

Our Solution

Abrasive blasted to Sa 2.5. Applied 3mm pure polyurea, chemical-resistant grade using JYYJ-H-V6T at 36 MPa with 7-inch PLC. Primer matched to carbon steel substrate. 42°C ambient required gel time tuned to 12 seconds.

What Pioneer Delivered

Not just a machine — a matched system, a trained crew on site, and after-sales backing end to end.

  • An on-site survey of the 40m × 12m tank with dew-point and steel-temperature monitoring before any spray in the 42°C heat — so the lining bonds, not blisters.
  • A single-source system — the JYYJ-H-V6T machine, matched primer and NSF-compliant polyurea tuned and warranted together, not sourced from three suppliers who blame each other.
  • A spray crew trained for confined-space tank geometry and hot-climate application, pre-tuning gel time to 12 seconds at 42°C — the hard part of polyurea is the operator, and we own it.
  • Holiday-tested QA across the full interior and a return-to-service plan built around the operator's schedule — the tank went back to refined petroleum in 18 hours, not 7-10 days.
  • Ongoing remote support for ratio and temperature tuning, plus re-order of the exact matched NSF-compliant material — so the next maintenance cycle is a phone call, not a new project.

Execution Process

  1. 1 · Abrasive Blast to Sa 2.5

The tank interior is abrasive blasted to Sa 2.5 near-white, stripping corrosion and scale from the carbon steel and cutting an anchor profile. Dust is vacuumed and the surface checked dry before priming in the 42°C ambient.

  2. 2 · Primer & Climate Control

A primer matched to the carbon steel substrate is applied inside the recoat window for a chemical bond. Dew point and steel temperature are logged, and with 42°C ambient the polyurea gel time is pre-tuned to 12 seconds.

  3. 3 · Polyurea Lining Spray

3mm of chemical-resistant pure polyurea is hand-sprayed with the JYYJ-H-V6T at 36 MPa, the 7-inch PLC holding ratio and temperature steady across the 40m × 12m shell. The seamless monolithic film covers welds and corners with no pinhole-prone seams.

  4. 4 · Holiday Test & Return to Service

The cured lining is holiday-detected across the full interior to verify zero pinholes, then the NSF-compliant film is cleared for refined petroleum. The tank returns to service in 18 hours rather than the 7-10 days an epoxy system would need.

Why This Model Is Commonly Selected

The JYYJ-H-V6T adds a 7-inch PLC touchscreen to the hydraulic V6 platform for precise temperature and pressure control — useful for tank lining, industrial flooring and abrasion-resistant coatings where consistent film thickness matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Difference between H-V6 and H-V6T?
Both are 36 MPa hydraulic machines; the H-V6T adds a 7-inch PLC touchscreen for precise, repeatable control, while the H-V6 uses manual controls.
Good for pure polyurea lining?
Yes — it is commonly configured for fast-curing polyurea; share your tank/floor size and material for a matched setup.

Recommended Configuration

  • Main proportioning unit
  • Fusion-compatible spray gun
  • Two transfer pumps
  • 15 m heated hose (7 m on D casting models)
  • Tool kit
  • IPPC export wooden case
