The Challenge

Pickup truck commercial fleet hauling chemical fertilizers + agricultural cargo experienced ~$2,800 average damage per vehicle from impact corrosion + cargo abrasion within 2 years. Aftermarket bed liners cost $400-600 each plus 1-2 days downtime per truck. Customer needed permanent solution surviving 5+ year fleet life cycle.

Our Solution

Mobile spray rig deployed at fleet yard. Surface prep via abrasive blast to SP 6 + zinc-rich primer for steel substrate. Applied 4mm pure polyurea using JYYJ-H600PK at 36 MPa with adjustable 1:1~1:2 ratio for cold-morning application tuning. Per-truck cycle: 1.5h prep + 3 minutes spray + 2h cure to road service.

What Pioneer Delivered

Not just a machine — a matched system, a trained crew on site, and after-sales backing end to end.

  • A mobile spray rig brought to the fleet yard with an on-site survey of bed condition and corrosion before any spray — so coating happened on the customer's site, not on ours.
  • A single-source system — JYYJ-H600PK machine and pure polyurea material matched, tuned and warranted together, not a sprayer and a material bought from three suppliers who blame each other.
  • A spray crew trained to coat bed geometry evenly at 4 mm and tune the ratio for cold-morning gel — the hard part of polyurea is the operator, and we own that skill.
  • Thickness and pinhole QA plus a double-shift schedule of about 4 trucks a day built around the fleet's operating window — vehicles rejoined routes the same day, not days later.
  • Ongoing remote support for ratio and temperature tuning, plus easy re-order of the exact matched material — coating the next batch of trucks is a phone call, not a new project.

Execution Process

  1. 1 · Surface Prep & Priming

Each truck bed is masked off, abrasive-blasted to SP 6 commercial finish to strip paint and corrosion, then coated with a zinc-rich primer for the steel substrate. Rails, seams and tailgate edges are detailed so the coating wraps high-wear corners.

  2. 2 · Mobile Rig Setup

A mobile spray rig is deployed at the fleet yard with the JYYJ-H600PK brought to 36 MPa and its adjustable 1:1~1:2 ratio tuned for cold-morning application. Heated hoses and a test panel confirm gel time before the first bed is coated.

  3. 3 · Polyurea Spray 4 mm

Hand-spray 4 mm of pure polyurea across floor, walls and tailgate in roughly 3 minutes per bed, the few-second gel building a seamless monolithic liner with no bolt holes or seams to corrode. A second pass detail-coats the highest-impact zones.

  4. 4 · Cure & Return to Road

Polyurea is tack-free in minutes and cures to full road service in about 2 hours, giving a per-truck cycle near 2 hours including prep. Each liner is checked for thickness and pinholes before the truck rejoins the working fleet.
